The Old Man and the Girl in RedThe fireplace lit the room with an auburn glow as its heat barely stroked the tips of the old man's fingers as he sat hunched over in his arm chair, his old withered hands resting on the crown of his cane. His hair was long and as aged white as old parchment, as was his unkempt beard that covered some of his worn face. Each wrinkle - a scar of time - decorated his face as wounds of a war that all men would inevitably lose. I’m so sorry.
Spring night, hour of twilight,
Alone with his thoughts,
His only company his memories;
A novel of tragedy decades in the making.
He looks back at twenty six years and wonders
‘When was any of it mine?’
Two decades of chances,
Never a day lived for himself.
He knows he is not selfless or good;
No one hates him more than himself,
But even he cannot find a single moment

| #1 - Is Steve Jones your real name? No, my real name is Steven Caulfield. #2 - Why are you called ‘SteveJones313’? Steve Jones was the name of my first major OC who was being written in a story I was writing. The name had featured before as the name of a wrestling character I used to become a efedding Hall of Famer (eFedding is wrestling-based RPGs usually through forums, though I started when eFeds first started when they were done via email; I used the name for my character in a story I was writing, so in a way they are two separate characters who share similar traits. Basically instead of writing a journal, I wrote an ongoing story as a metaphor or simile of what was happening in my life, with Steve Jones representing me. I was then asked to join a site called deviantArt in affect to spy on someone. I sighed and signed up to the site, but I needed a name. The group (or kliq and yes if you’re a wrestling fan like me, you spell it as kliq) were HUGE 8 Mile fans and when they found out I was getting an account, they demanded I add the 313 to my name to show I was part of the group. Not wanting to cause arguments, I did so I got the name SteveJones313. None of my old friends use it anymore (save for my ex every now and then) as the group pretty much disbanded. #3 - Ever thought of changing your user name? I have, but it would make little sense now. True the whole 313 thing never meant anything to me, but I’m known online as SteveJones313. I’ve worked hard to earn the reputation I have (however small it may be) and to change my name would damage that. Besides, I’ve taken that name and made it part of who I am. I am as much SteveJones313 as I am Steven Caulfield. So now, I’ll not be changing my user name. I am known by other names on the net such as ~TheUnpaidCounsellor (my secondary/backup account) and my main YouTube account is TheWanderingAngel named after the same OC I created. #4 - A/S/L/P? I’m 26, male and I live in Durham, England (North East) and I’m straight. #5 - Are you single? No. I am engaged to the most awesome fiancée; in the world. #6 - What is “TheWanderingAngel”? TheWanderingAngel is the production banner I create works under; any videos that are made by me are posted as a ‘TheWanderingAngel Production’. It’s just a banner for my videos to be posted under, but eventually it’ll be a bigger thing as I am developing a website for my works as well as my friends. Think ThatGuyWithTheGlasses only better looking but a much smaller operation. #7 - What do you do? I am a published author and a video producer. In terms of my employment status, I’m currently in between jobs, though I am looking to open a business with my good friend and broadcast partner ~G33K-King. I am the host of two weekly YouTube shows called #SHOUT and #TotalMarkOut which you can learn more about by clicking the links. I also have my own show called Dear SteveJones313… which is a Q&A show where I answer questions whilst trying to be as entertaining as possible. I think I hate myself. #8 - Do you make money from your shows? No. I make the videos for the sake of fun and (hopefully) entertainment. I do have a donate button which I've yet to post, but I don’t expect anyone to donate and don’t expect me to ask. It’s there in case anyone ever wants to use it; think of it as a tip jar. #9 - Can I appear in one of your shows? For #SHOUT or #TotalMarkOut, please visit the tumblr sites for more information. In regards to appearing on the show as a guest/character, it’s unlikely but I’m happy to discuss any potential co-work/cross-over. There will be other shows I do in the future, so opportunities will come. #10 - Do you follow back if I follow you on Tumblr/Twitter/Facebook/DeviantArt/YouTube? At the end of the day if you want to follow me, that is awesome and I am all smiles. However I follow people because I like their work or their posts. If I’m following you, it’s because I’m either a friend or a fan (or both). If I am following you, then you have no obligation to follow me back and I would never expect you to. I am following you because I like you and/or your work – not to potential increase my numbers. I don’t do BOTs, I don’t do SPAM and I do not do automatic follow backs. If you like my work, follow me; if you don’t, then don’t – irrespective of whether I’m following you or not. As for Facebook, I only follow people I know personally. #11 - I see you’re on Ask.FM – what kind of questions do you answer? I will answer almost any kind of questions, however I have three rules. Firstly, I do not answer questions about my loved ones and friends, so don’t bother asking me about my relationship with my fiancé or the like – automatic block right there. Second, I do not answer questions about which friends or celebrities I would “like to fuck” if I could get away with it or similar questions. It’s highly inappropriate and whilst there are some fucking hot women out there, is that the kind of shit my fiancé should have to read online? If she wants to know, she can ask me. If you ask me, I reserve the right to ban you without question. Thirdly – trolls (who are not entertaining me) will be banned. Outside of those three rules, pretty much everything else is permitted. Personal, philosophical, topical, bat-squeak insane or generic – I answer about 8/10 questions that are sent to me. However some people ask the same questions over and over again, so allow me to answer them here, but without context. It’s not 42; refer to FAQ #2; denim blue; I don’t care about hair colour; African or European?; C - though it’s all Pepsi & Coke to me; teacher or counsellor; York; legs; black and silver; William Shakespeare; between 7 and 8. #12 - Can I add you on Skype?
